Privacy Policy

Vidya is operated by A3 Partners Pte Ltd, Singapore ("we", "us"). This policy explains how we process personal data when you use Vidya.

1. Information we collect

• Account and age data: name, email, authentication identifiers, date of birth and age band.
• Learning data: exam goal, answers, mastery, lesson and video activity, mock attempts, study plans, tutor conversations and uploads.
• Technical data: browser, device, approximate location from IP, security logs, cookie identifiers and diagnostics.
• Payment metadata: plan, order, amount and status. We do not receive full card details.
• Parental consent: parent email, consent status and, on approval, timestamp, IP and user agent.

2. How we use it

• Provide and personalise lessons, practice, study plans and exam recommendations.
• Operate age-appropriate safeguards, parental consent and account support.
• Process payments, send transactional messages, measure product use, prevent abuse and maintain security.
• Comply with legal duties and resolve grievances.

3. Processors and data they receive

• Supabase: account, database, storage and authentication data.
• Stripe: email, billing and transaction data for checkout and subscriptions.
• PostHog: product events, account identifier and device/browser data for analytics.
• Anthropic, OpenAI, Groq and Perplexity: prompts, relevant learning context and model outputs needed for AI features. Perplexity may also process web-search queries.
• FAL: image prompts and generated images. Its safety checker remains enabled.
• Resend: recipient email and transactional email contents, including parental-consent messages.
• YouTube: IP, device and embed interaction data when you play an embedded video, subject to YouTube's terms.

We do not sell personal data or use private answers to train shared AI models.

Cookies and local storage

Essential storage keeps you signed in, remembers your theme and language, and supports offline lessons. Optional PostHog analytics cookies are set only after you choose "Accept analytics" in the cookie notice; choosing "Essential only" keeps them off. You can change your choice by clearing site data in your browser.

4. Retention

Account and learning data is kept while your account is active. Security and billing records may be retained where law requires. In-app deletion removes live account data immediately; verified emailed requests are completed within 30 days. Encrypted backups rotate out within 90 days. Pending parental-consent links expire after 7 days; minimal audit records may be retained without learning content.

5. Your rights and deletion

• Access or correct profile data in the app, or email privacy@atriverse.com.
• Delete your account from Profile → Delete account. If you cannot sign in, use the public account deletion page.
• Request access, correction, export, restriction or withdrawal of consent, subject to applicable law.

6. Age gate and parental consent

Vidya is for learners aged 13 and up. We ask every account for a date of birth before full use. If the learner is under 13, we sign them out and delete the newly created account. Learners aged 13–17 must provide a parent or guardian email. We send a one-time approval link that expires after 7 days and record the approval timestamp, IP and user agent. While approval is pending, lessons and practice remain available, but AI tutor chat, roleplay, image generation, file uploads, live tuition registration and payments are disabled. The learner can resend the email. Existing accounts without a date of birth receive the same prompt on their next visit.

7. International transfers and rights

Our processors may handle data outside your country with contractual and technical safeguards. Depending on where you live, you may have mandatory privacy and consumer rights that cannot be waived.
